Global Impact Pool: Annual Impact Report 2023

We are delighted to present our 2023 Annual Impact Report – marking 6 years of dedicated efforts in the field of impact investing. We seek to make meaningful progress towards our goal of driving positive social and environmental change in both developing and emerging markets. At Van Lanschot Kempen we believe that investing for impact is not only the right thing to do, but also the smart thing to do. By directing capital towards innovative and impactful businesses, we aim to generate both financial returns and meaningful social and environmental outcomes.

In this report we share some of our exciting impact achievements and stories – from the fund’s impact contribution to case studies on some of the inspiring underlying companies. Whilst this is an annual report, resulting in a focus on 2023, we are true believers in investor longevity when it comes to scaling up real impact.

Over the past year, we have deployed approximately €35 million across our range of focus impact themes – Basic needs & well-being, Climate & energy, SME development & decent work and Circular economy. Through our investments, and on your behalf, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and communities around the world whilst contributing to climate solutions at the same time. As we look to the future, we remain excited about the opportunities to contribute to a positive impact and look forward to continuing to work alongside our stakeholders to create a better world.
